USA Hockey named Philadelphia Flyers head coach John Tortorella and Pittsburgh Penguins assistant David Quinn as assistant coaches for the 2025 4 Nations Face-Off on Wednesday.

They join Minnesota Wild bench boss John Hynes as assistants to USA head coach Mike Sullivan of the Penguins.

"We've got a highly accomplished coaching staff leading our team, and we couldn't be more excited about the group," Team USA general manager Bill Guerin said in a statement. "Their experiences - both unique and shared - will be a big benefit to our country as we look to bring home a championship come February."

Tortorella ranks ninth among NHL coaches in all-time wins, with 742 over 22 seasons. He was head coach for the USA at the 2016 World Cup of Hockey and the 2008 IIHF World Championship. Tortorella was an assistant for the U.S. team that won silver at the 2010 Olympics. He's entering his fourth campaign with Philadelphia.

Quinn joined the Penguins in June. The San Jose Sharks fired him in April after two seasons as head coach. Quinn was head coach for the U.S. at the 2022 Olympics and the 2022 and 2023 IIHF World Championships.

USA will compete against Canada, Finland, and Sweden in the first 4 Nations Face-Off from Feb. 12-20 in Boston and Montreal.

The initial six players named to USA's roster in June were forwards Auston Matthews, Matthew Tkachuk, and Jack Eichel, plus defensemen Quinn Hughes, Adam Fox, and Charlie McAvoy.
