Crosby becomes 10th player ever with 1,600 points
Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby notched an assist Wednesday night to become the 10th player in NHL history to hit the 1,600-point milestone.
Crosby is the fifth-fastest player to reach the mark. He earned a secondary helper on Bryan Rust's first-period goal against the Buffalo Sabres.
The 37-year-old is the only active player to accomplish the feat. Alex Ovechkin is the closest to Crosby among those still playing at 1,553.

Crosby has spent his entire career with the Penguins and is signed through 2026-27.
