Binnington becomes Blues' all-time wins leader
Jordan Binnington passed Mike Liut and became the St. Louis Blues' winningest goaltender with a 3-0 victory against the New Jersey Devils on Wednesday that marked his 152nd win with the team.
Liut had held the franchise mark since 1985. A member of the Blues Hall of Fame, he now serves as Binnington's agent.
Binnington made his first start with the Blues in January 2019. He went 24-5-1 the rest of the season and backstopped St. Louis to its first Stanley Cup triumph that spring. The 31-year-old has a 152-103-32 record over seven seasons and has played 297 games with the Blues
Liut amassed his record over six campaigns and 347 contests with St. Louis, going 151-133 with 52 ties.
Binnington is the fourth active goaltender to lead their respective franchise's all-time wins list. He joins Andrei Vasilevskiy (Tampa Bay), Connor Hellebuyck (Winnipeg), and Philipp Grubauer (Seattle).
