Senators sign Greig to 4-year, $13M extension
The Ottawa Senators signed forward Ridly Greig to a four-year contract extension carrying an average annual value of $3.25 million, the team announced Friday.
Greig is playing out the last year of his entry-level deal. He'll be a restricted free agent after the extension ends and won't become unrestricted until 2030.
The 22-year-old has recorded six goals and six assists in 37 games this season. He's spent most of this year on the wing, though he's a natural center and has also played down the middle throughout his three-year career.
Greig notched 13 goals and 13 assists in his first full campaign in 2023-24.
The Senators selected Greig 28th overall in the 2020 NHL Draft.
Greig was Ottawa's most notable pending RFA, along with Tyler Kleven, Jacob Bernard-Docker, and Noah Gregor. Claude Giroux is the team's biggest pending UFA.
