Utah Hockey Club winger Dylan Guenther is out indefinitely with a lower-body injury, the team announced Friday.

Josh Doan was recalled from the AHL's Tucson Roadrunners in a corresponding move.

Guenther will be out for a while, but he didn't suffer a season-ending injury.

"It's long, but not that long," head coach Andre Tourigny said, per KSL Sports' Cole Bagley.

Guenther leads all Utah skaters with 16 goals in 40 games this season. He ranks third on the team with 34 points.

The injury is a big blow to a squad that's been without two of its top defensemen, Sean Durzi and John Marino, for all but a combined four games this season.

Utah signed Guenther to an eight-year, $57.14-million extension in September.

Doan has tallied 21 points in 25 games with the Roadrunners this season. The 2021 second-round pick has amassed six goals and five assists in 20 career NHL appearances.
