Hartman given match penalty for attempting to injure Stutzle
Wild forward Ryan Hartman was handed a match penalty for attempting to injure Senators star Tim Stutzle during Minnesota's 6-0 loss to Ottawa on Saturday.
Hartman drove Stutzle's head into the ice on a faceoff.

A match penalty means the incident is subject to automatic review by the league.
Stutzle was bloodied but stayed in the game.
Hartman and Stutzle got chippy with each other earlier in the game. Stutzle received a two-minute minor for slashing, while Hartman was handed a double minor for roughing and embellishment.

Hartman has been suspended four times in his career for a total of seven games. The last incident came in April 2024 when he threw his stick in the direction of an official.
Stutzle has registered a team-leading 52 points in 52 games this season.
