Panthers' Maurice moves into 3rd place on all-time wins list

Florida Panthers bench boss Paul Maurice passed Barry Trotz for sole possession of third place on the NHL's all-time coaching wins list with his 915th career victory Thursday against the Detroit Red Wings.
Only Joel Quenneville and Hall of Famer Scotty Bowman stand in front of Maurice.

Maurice began his coaching career in the 1995-96 season, standing behind the Hartford Whalers' bench when he was 28 years old. The Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, native has also coached the Carolina Hurricanes (for two stints), the Toronto Maple Leafs, and the Winnipeg Jets.
The 58-year-old also ranks first all time with 765 career losses and second all time with 1,928 games, trailing only Bowman (2,141).
Maurice won his first Stanley Cup with the Panthers in 2024.
