Dallas Stars forward Roope Hintz returned to the lineup for Game 4 versus the Edmonton Oilers.

Hintz sustained a lower-body injury after being slashed by Oilers defenseman Darnell Nurse in the third period of Game 2. He took warmups but didn't play in the Stars' 6-1 loss in Game 3.

Nurse was initially assessed a five-minute major on the play that injured Hintz, but it was reduced to a two-minute minor after review. He didn't receive any supplemental discipline.

Evgenii Dadonov came out of the lineup for Hintz. He had played in every Stars playoff game this year before Tuesday, recording one goal and four points.

Hintz has five goals and 11 points in 15 playoff games after racking up 28 goals and 67 points in 76 regular-season contests.

Dallas trails Edmonton in the series 2-1.
