The Edmonton Oilers knocked off the Dallas Stars 4-1 in Tuesday's Game 4 to take a 3-1 series lead and move one win away from returning to the Stanley Cup Final.
The Oilers lost in the Cup Final against the Florida Panthers in seven games last year. The Panthers currently hold a 3-1 series lead over the Carolina Hurricanes in the Eastern Conference Final.
Leon Draisaitl and Corey Perry scored for the Oilers before Kasperi Kapanen and Adam Henrique added empty-netters. Jason Robertson netted the Stars' lone goal.
Draisaitl knows it will be difficult to finish off the series.
"They're gonna be desperate," Draisaitl told ESPN's Emily Kaplan. "We know that, but we gotta obviously match that. Looking to close it out."
Oilers forward Zach Hyman didn't return after being hit by Stars forward Mason Marchment.
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins tallied a pair of assists to become the first player in 35 years to open a conference finals with four multi-point games. Cam Neely and Craig Janney did so in 1990 with the Boston Bruins.
Stuart Skinner made 28 saves. He owns a .985 save percentage in his five wins this postseason.
Game 5 goes Thursday in Dallas.
