Could Brad Marchand actually sign with the Toronto Maple Leafs? He teased the possibility Friday on Instagram.

"Shit dawg ... The people wanna see it???" Marchand commented on a post from The Leafs Nation, which quoted Sportsnet's Nick Kypreos, saying, "I don't know how (Marchand) doesn't end up a Maple Leaf."

Marchand has been in full troll mode since Thursday, when he thanked other NHL teams on his Instagram story for helping the Florida Panthers assemble their Stanley Cup-winning roster.

The former Boston Bruin has long been nightmare fuel for Leafs fans. Marchand's won five Game 7s in his career against Toronto, including in the second round of this year's playoffs.

Marchand is set to become an unrestricted free agent July 1. The 37-year-old recorded 23 goals and 51 points in 71 regular-season games and was superb for Florida in the postseason. He notched 10 goals and 20 points in 23 playoff games, including six goals in the Cup Final alone.
