Habs acquire Bolduc from Blues for Mailloux
The Montreal Canadiens acquired forward Zack Bolduc from the St. Louis Blues for defenseman Logan Mailloux, the teams announced Tuesday.
Bolduc, 22, notched 19 goals and 36 points in 72 contests with the Blues last season.
Mailloux, 22, tallied two goals and four points in seven NHL games. He added 12 goals and 33 points over 63 AHL contests.
Both players were selected in the first round of the 2021 draft. The Blues snagged Bolduc 17th overall, and the Canadiens took Mailloux 31st.
Bolduc is from Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, and played for the QMJHL's Quebec Remparts to end his junior career. He has one year left on his entry-level contract.
Mailloux was named to the AHL All-Rookie Team in 2024. The 6-foot-3 rearguard is also signed through next season on his entry-level contract.
In November 2020, Mailloux was charged and fined for invasion of privacy and defamation in Sweden after photographing a woman without consent during a sexual encounter, identifying her to teammates, and sharing pictures with them. He was cleared to play in the NHL in 2024.
