Mammoth, McBain avoid arbitration with 5-year, $21.25M deal

The Utah Mammoth and restricted free-agent center Jack McBain avoided arbitration Monday, agreeing to a five-year contract with a $4.25-million cap hit, the team announced.
McBain set career highs with 13 goals and 27 points in 82 games last season. The 6-foot-4 forward also notched a team-high 291 hits.

The 25-year-old projects to serve as Utah's third-line center next season.
McBain has tallied 35 goals and 47 assists in 241 career NHL games. He was drafted 63rd overall by the Minnesota Wild in 2018 before he was traded to the Arizona Coyotes in 2022.
