Habs sign Veleno to 1-year contract
The Montreal Canadiens signed forward Joe Veleno to a one-year contract, the team announced Wednesday.
The deal is worth $900K, according to The Fourth Period's David Pagnotta.
Veleno, 25, played 74 games in 2024-25, spending time with the Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks. He scored eight goals and added nine assists on the season.
The Quebec native, who has 306 NHL appearances under his belt, is just one year removed from a 2023-24 season in which he tallied a career-high 28 points.
