The Carolina Hurricanes will be without two key players for the foreseeable future.

Hurricanes forward Seth Jarvis and defenseman Jaccob Slavin are both week-to-week with upper-body injuries, the club announced Monday.

Jarvis was injured during Friday's game against the Florida Panthers after crashing into the post following a trip by Evan Rodrigues.

The 23-year-old owns a team-leading 19 goals and sits second with 29 points over 34 games.

Meanwhile, Slavin will be sidelined again after missing 29 games earlier in the campaign due to a lower-body injury. He returned Dec. 14 and has appeared in just five contests this season.

Carolina sits first in the Metropolitan Division, four points up on the Washington Capitals.
