New York Islanders forward Bo Horvat won't play this week and will have his lower-body injury re-evaluated in one week, head coach Patrick Roy said Friday, according to NHL.com's Stefen Rosner.

Horvat's injury timeline is of particular importance after he was named to Canada's men's Olympic team Wednesday. The tournament begins Feb. 11.

The 30-year-old sustained the injury during the third period against the Utah Mammoth on Thursday.

Horvat missed five games in December with an injury.

The London, Ontario, native has 21 goals and 33 points in 36 games to lead the Islanders in scoring. He's won 57.6% of his faceoffs.

Horvat has represented Canada's senior national team twice at the World Championship (2018 and 2025).
