Rangers' Shesterkin helped off ice after collision with Mammoth's Peterka
New York Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin had to be helped off the ice Monday following a collision with Utah Mammoth forward JJ Peterka in the first period.
Shesterkin didn't appear to put any weight on his left leg following the play. He was eventually ruled out for the remainder of the game with a lower-body injury.

Shesterkin entered the game with a 17-12-4 record and a .912 save percentage. The 2022 Vezina Trophy winner leads all netminders in games played, shots faced, and saves and ranks third with 14.8 goals saved above expected, per Money Puck.
The 30-year-old is in the first season of an eight-year, $92-million contract.
Jonathan Quick took over in relief of Shesterkin. The 39-year-old veteran entered Monday with a .920 save percentage in 10 appearances this season.
