Philadelphia Flyers center Trevor Zegras was victim to the NHL's crackdown on equipment infractions during Thursday's preseason game against the Boston Bruins.
Zegras was assessed a two-minute minor penalty for "improperly wearing equipment" midway through the second period.

Players must have their jerseys untucked at the beginning of a shift, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.
The NHL has informed players that they'll receive a warning for going onto the ice with a tucked jersey. Should they continue to disobey the rule, referees have the right to hand players a minor penalty. A second violation of the rule in a single game would result in a misconduct, according to Friedman.
The NHL's increased emphasis on properly worn equipment also applies to neck guards, visors, and helmets during warmups.
Zegras confirmed postgame that he'd been warned at the start of Thursday's matchup.
"It must have just went back in on the bench, and when I came out, just forgot, and (they) called it (a penalty)," Zegras told reporters, including The Athletic's Kevin Kurz.
Zegras' penalty didn't come back to burn Philadelphia as Boston failed to capitalize on the ensuing power play.
"They told us - in all fairness - two, three weeks ago," said Flyers head coach Rick Tocchet, per Kurz. "I didn't even think about it. ... Obviously, can't do it anymore. Regular season starts, we can't have a penalty like that. I actually had to put (Matvei Michkov's jersey) down on the bench."
The Flyers eventually prevailed 2-0 to pick up their first preseason victory.
