The Ottawa Senators pummeled the Florida Panthers with a statement 5-1 victory in Brady Tkachuk's hostile return to Canada's capital Wednesday.

Tkachuk scored the opening goal of the game, but that proved to be the lone bright spot for him and the Panthers.

The sellout crowd at Canadian Tire Centre stole the spotlight with creative chants, relentless boos, and ruthless signs to solidify Tkachuk's status as public enemy No. 1 in Ottawa.

Here's a compilation of some of the best moments of the game provided by the fans.

Tkachuk received a roughing minor in the final two minutes of the game, which ended his night.

Tkachuk spent the first eight seasons of his career in Ottawa, including five as captain. In June, Tkachuk, who had two years remaining on his contract with the Senators, facilitated a trade to the Florida Panthers to play alongside his brother, Matthew. The request came after Tkachuk had consistently shot down trade rumors, including after the Senators were eliminated from the playoffs.

"I have been fully committed to this team, to this city, and it's just become a distraction and frustrating to deal with," he said at the time.

The Senators scored five unanswered goals Wednesday from Tim Stutzle, Claude Giroux, Shane Pinto, Warren Foegele, and Stephen Halliday after Tkachuk opened the scoring.

The one negative on the evening for the Senators was an injury to goaltender Linus Ullmark, who had to be helped off the ice during the third period and didn't return.
