Report: Wild closing in on extension with coach Yeo
The Minnesota Wild are closing in on a multi-year contract extension with head coach Mike Yeo, according to The Star Tribune's Michael Russo.
Although Russo reported earlier this week that negotiations between the two sides had stalled, he now says that all signs point to an agreement being worked out soon, with Yeo and general manager Chuck Fletcher reportedly heading to owner Craig Leipold's home in the Bahamas on Saturday for further meetings.
Yeo, the NHL's youngest head coach at 40-years-old, has led the Wild to a 104-82-26 record during his three year tenure, including two straight appearances in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
