John Carlson appears to have avoided the long arm of the NHL's law.
The Washington Capitals defenseman will reportedly not face supplemental discipline following a questionable hit to Ryan Johansen's head during a 5-4 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday, reports Alex Prewitt of the Washington Post.
Carlson was assessed a two-minute minor penalty on the play.
