The injury that's keeping Sidney Crosby out of the All-Star Game doesn't appear to have come out of the blue.
The Pittsburgh Penguins have announced that Crosby has received an injection to treat a lower-body injury suffered in a game against the Montreal Canadiens back on Jan. 10.
The Penguins are hopeful that Crosby, who sits in a tie for third in points (51), will resume skating on Tuesday and could return to the lineup either Wednesday at Washington or Friday at New Jersey.
