Stars' Seguin scores a pair of goals in return from knee injury
It didn't take long for Tyler Seguin to make his presence felt.
Playing his first game since suffering a knee injury back on Feb. 13, the Dallas Stars center scored his 30th goal during the first period of Saturday's road game against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
True to his lethal form, the power-play goal came on an absolute rocket from the circle to the right of Andrei Vasilevskiy.
Seguin added his second of the night early in the second period.
With the pair of tallies, Seguin hit the 30-goal mark for the second straight season. He could still be in line to challenge his career high of 37, despite missing 10 games with the injury.
Despite Seguin's best efforts, the Stars fell 5-4 to the Lightning, all but closing the door on a return to the postseason.
