Robyn Regehr is calling it a career.
The 34-year-old defenseman is going to retire, he announced following the Los Angeles Kings' final game of the regular season, a 4-1 win over the San Jose Sharks.
A veteran of 1,088 games between the Kings, Buffalo Sabres and Calgary Flames, Regehr - drafted 19th overall by the Colorado Avalanche in 1998 - recorded 36 goals, 163 assists and 970 penalty minutes.
A member of the Kings' 2014 Stanley Cup-winning team, Regehr was a more instrumental member of the 2004 Flames club that pushed the Tampa Bay Lightning to seven games in the Final.
Regehr has been limited by several injuries in recent years, but did appear in 66 games for the Kings while averaging over 20 minutes per contest.
