The Buffalo Sabres will want to be mean, even as they continue to grow as a young club.
The team is expected to begin contract talks with forward Patrick Kaleta this week, according to Pro Hockey Talk's Dhiren Mahiban.
Kaleta's agent Anton Thun told PHT he hopes to have a better idea of where his client sits with the Sabres heading into the NHL Draft in late June.
Kaleta played in just 42 games this year after battling injuries. He managed just three assists.
