A grand jury in Erie District County is expected to resume the sexual assault investigation into Chicago Blackhawks star Patrick Kane, his attorney, Paul Cambria, told the Chicago Tribune.
Cambria added that the postponement earlier this week - believed to be a result of ongoing settlement talks - was not at his request.
According to The Tribune, sources indicate that the case will go to the grand jury in about two weeks, putting it on target to resume after the Blackhawks open camp Sept. 18.
Kane is being investigated for an incident that allegedly occurred inside his Western New York residence in early August. He has not been charged with a crime.
