Jamie Benn leads NHL's 3 stars for October
The NHL named its three stars for the month of October on Monday, and the list comes as no surprise:
- Dallas Stars forward Jamie Benn
- Montreal Canadiens goalie Carey Price
- Boston Bruins center David Krejci
Benn and Price have picked up where they left off last season.

Benn, who won the Art Ross Trophy in 2014-15, leads the league with nine goals and 17 points. He has four power-play goals and two game-winners, leading the resurgent Stars to first place in the Western Conference. He's failed to record a point in only two of 11 games.
Price remains the best goalie on the planet. He won his first seven starts and has a .936 save percentage and 2.01 goals-against average in nine games. The Canadiens are off to their best start in 40 years, winning 11 of 13, and lead the NHL with 22 points.
Krejci, meanwhile, is healthy and putting up big numbers for the Bruins. He's third in the league in scoring with seven goals and eight assists in 15 games. His seven power-play points lead the league, and he put together a nine-game point streak to open the season.
