Lilly King roasts Russia's Efimova, calls her 'drug cheat'

Swimming isn't thought of as a combat sport, but there is a major war of words going on between American Lilly King and Russia's Yulia Efimova.

Efimova was implicated in the Russian doping scandal leading up to the Rio Games and has two positive tests for banned substances in her past. She was initially suspended from the Olympics by the International Swimming Federation earlier this Summer, but had that decision overturned on appeal and is allowed to participate.

Following a win in her preliminary heat of the 100m breaststroke, Efimova held up one finger in the air, something King didn't appreciate. After the American won the next heat, she met with NBC Sports' Michelle Tafoya and dropped some heat on her rival.

"You're shaking your finger No. 1, and you've been caught for drug cheating," King said before adding, "I'm just not a fan."

The two women meet in the final of the event Monday night, and regardless of the result, the post-race fireworks will be must-see television.
