• Four-time major champion has faced the pressure cooker before.

WEAKNESSES

• Can be streaky with his putter, switched to the left-hand low grip just weeks prior to the Masters.
• Has struggled while in the lead at Augusta, ballooned to a final round 80 in 2012 after holding a four-stroke lead entering the day.

Verdict

Despite Spieth's dominance at Augusta, McIlroy certainly has to like his chances to rocket past the defending champion on moving day. The two have been paired for 12 rounds in their PGA tour career, and the Northern Irishman has dominated.

With the remarkable consistency Spieth has shown at the Masters, don't expect a big number from the Texan. McIlroy will have to play his best to take over the top spot heading into Sunday, but he's shown he's more than capable of doing so against the defending champion.

Don't be shocked to see McIlroy post a low number and enter the final round with a chance to erase past demons at Augusta, and capture the career Grand Slam in the process.
