Peter Hanson's U.S. Open is over, as the Swede has been disqualified for signing an incorrect scorecard.
Hanson struggled to a 7-over-par 77 in the opening round, so his ouster will have little effect on the leaderboard.
The 38-year-old had experienced some success in the U.S. Open previously, finishing tied for seventh in 2011, and recording a 30th-place finish in 2007 at the last tournament held at Oakmont.
