The sixth hole at Royal Birkdale certainly won't be high on Justin Thomas' list of favorites after this week at the Open Championship.
The American star bogeyed the par-4 in the opening round, and came to the hole Friday already sitting 2-over on the day through five.
After finding the thick rough, Thomas failed to move the ball more than 3 feet on his next three swings. He finally hacked it out on his fourth attempt and wound up making a quintuple-bogey 9 on the hole, dropping from even par to 5-over for the tournament.
