Bud Cauley was in a car accident on Friday night in Dublin, Ohio and is in the hospital with several injuries, his management firm told Golf Channel's Todd Lewis.
Cauley, who was in Dublin for the Memorial Tournament, was sitting in the passenger seat when the accident occurred around 11 p.m ET. He's being treated for five broken ribs, a collapsed lung, and a fractured lower left leg.
Cauley missed the cut at the Memorial after shooting 9-over. He was scheduled to play in Monday's U.S. Open qualifier in Memphis, Tennessee, but has withdrawn.
