Another day, another captivating calamity for DeChambeau at the Masters
You can argue Bryson DeChambeau's place among the best golfers in the world all you want, but there's no debate who the king of the PGA Tour is when it comes to content.
A day after captivating the golfing world with an adventurous double-bogey 7 on the par-5 13th, the beefy U.S. Open champion was at it again with a highly dramatic showing on the 350-yard 4th.
From the tee, DeChambeau sent a towering hook high into the Augusta sky, sweeping across the fairway before landing in the thick second cut of rough. All seemed fine with a short pitch to the green awaiting, likely leading to a solid look at a birdie.
However, disaster struck once DeChambeau arrived at where he thought his ball was. Despite enlisting the help of a large search party, the ball wasn't found, likely embedded in the wet rough after such a high tee shot.

After questioning a rules official as to whether he could get relief from casual water, his ball was ruled lost, requiring a trip in a golf cart back to the tee for another shot.

DeChambeau would eventually find the green and two-putt for a triple-bogey 7, dropping from 3-under-par to even for the tournament. He followed that up with consecutive bogeys on the next two holes and will need a charge during the rest of his round to make the cut.
