Clark wins weather-shortened Pebble Beach Pro-Am
Wyndham Clark has been declared winner of the Pebble Beach Pro-Am after the PGA TOUR decided not to resume the tournament on Monday due to weather conditions.
"The storm affecting the Monterey Peninsula throughout the day Sunday is forecast to continue into the early hours of Monday with very strong winds," the TOUR announced.
"Although conditions are forecast to improve through the morning Monday, after consultation with Monterey County emergency authorities, who have implemented a shelter-in-place order until early tomorrow morning for the greater Pebble Beach community, and out of an abundance of caution for the safety of all constituents, there will be no play on Monday."
The winds at Pebble Beach were strong enough to damage the TV towers and knock down course signage.
A tree also fell just off the 18th green.
Clark held a one-shot lead through 54 holes after carding a course-record 12-under 60 on Saturday. Ludvig Aberg finishes as the runner-up.
