Rory McIlroy is making a Sunday charge at Bryson DeChambeau's U.S. Open lead.
The 35-year-old started the day three shots off the pace but ripped off four birdies in a five-hole stretch to pull ahead of his counterpart by two stokes with seven holes to play.
The third birdie of that run was a perfect 22-footer on No. 12 that poured into the center of the cup.
McIlroy now faces the treacherous closing stretch at Pinehurst in his quest to end a 10-year drought and win his fifth major title.
