PWHL Minnesota signed forward Michela Cava to a one-year contract extension, the team announced Friday.

Cava, 30, scored four goals and eight points in the Walter Cup Final against Boston to help Minnesota win the PWHL's inaugural title. She tied Taylor Heise, who won the Ilana Kloss Playoff MVP Award, for the team lead in postseason scoring.

In the regular season, Cava tallied five goals and eight points in 24 games to rank sixth on Minnesota in scoring.

Minnesota also re-signed forward Liz Schepers on a one-year contract and extended Denisa Krizova through the 2025-26 campaign on Friday. Draft picks Britta Curl and Klara Hymlarova inked two-year deals.

PWHL free agency opened Friday morning.
