Montreal Victoire forward Catherine Dubois was suspended one game for her illegal check to the head of Boston Fleet defender Megan Keller, the PWHL announced Friday.

Dubois caught Keller up high in the final minute of the second period in Monday's game. She was assessed a major penalty and a game misconduct.

Keller returned at the start of the third frame.

Dubois has one assist in five games this season while averaging 7:17 of ice time. She tallied two goals and six points in 21 contests last year.

The Victoire will face Boston again Sunday in the PWHL's first neutral-site game of the campaign in Seattle.

The league's player safety committee includes PWHL senior VP of hockey operations Jayna Hefford, league special advisor Cassie Campbell-Pascall, former NHL referee Bill McCreary, long-time NHL executive Mike Murphy, and member of the NHL's player safety department Matt McMahon.
