The Montreal Victoire made a splash in PWHL free agency Tuesday, adding forward Shiann Darkangelo on a two-year standard player agreement.
Darkangelo will add more punch to a Victoire offense that ranked second in the PWHL a year ago. The 31-year-old finished third on the Ottawa Charge with 17 points in 29 games last season.
"A proven leader on and off the ice, Shiann brings the championship experience every team needs," Victoire general manager Daniele Sauvageau wrote in a statement. "A reliable two-way center, she excels in all three zones and contributes in every special team situation, making her a versatile player."
The Victoire also re-signed defender Kati Tabin on Monday.
