PWHL Vancouver signs Michela Cava to 2-year deal
Two-time Walter Cup champion Michela Cava signed a standard two-year deal with PWHL Vancouver, the club announced Tuesday.
Cava, 31, was a free agent after two seasons with the Minnesota Frost.
"Michela has tremendous vision, and her elite playmaking will help our offense. She is also a proven winner as a member of five straight championship teams," Cara Gardner Morey, PWHL Vancouver's general manager, said in a statement.
Cava is coming off of her best year yet with the Frost, netting nine goals and 10 assists in 30 regular-season games. She recorded an additional three goals and two assists in the playoffs, helping the team win back-to-back championships.
She's the third forward Minnesota has lost to PWHL Vancouver after the expansion team drafted Brooke McQuigge and Denisa Krizova.
