The Toronto Sceptres traded goaltender Kristen Campbell and the 19th overall pick to PWHL Vancouver for the 16th and 23rd selections in Tuesday's draft.
Campbell won Goaltender of the Year in 2024 but had consistency issues this past campaign. She posted a .910 save percentage and a 2.25 goals-against average in 21 regular-season games before struggling in the playoffs.
The 27-year-old had an .813 SV% and a 4.75 GAA in three games versus the Minnesota Frost. She was ultimately benched for third-stringer Carly Jackson for Game 4 of the semifinals, in which Toronto was eliminated.
The Sceptres drafted Ohio State forward Kiara Zanon with the 16th overall pick. She notched 12 goals and 32 points in 40 games last season.
Toronto later added Clara Van Wieren 23rd overall. The 5-foot-10 center out of Minnesota-Duluth tallied 17 goals and 40 points in 39 contests in 2024-25.
Vancouver selected Minnesota-Duluth defender and B.C. native Nina Jobst-Smith 19th overall. Jobst-Smith totaled 18 points in 37 outings and represents Germany on the international stage.
