The Philadelphia Eagles aren't done adding to their defensive line.

Philly signed free-agent defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh to a one-year deal Thursday, the team announced.

The Eagles' defense has struggled against the run in 2022, allowing 4.7 yards per rushing attempt, which ranks 25th in the NFL. Philadelphia also recently lost first-round rookie defensive lineman Jordan Davis and tackle Marlon Tuipulotu to injuries. Davis was placed on injured reserve on Nov. 2 with an ankle issue, while Tuipulotu landed on IR on Tuesday due to a knee ailment.

Philly also signed former Pro Bowl defensive tackle Linval Joseph on Wednesday, adding to a defensive front that features the likes of Fletcher Cox, Javon Hargrave, and Brandon Graham.

Suh, a five-time Pro Bowler, has yet to play this season after spending the previous three campaigns with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The 35-year-old racked up 112 tackles and 14.5 sacks through 49 regular-season games with Tampa Bay while helping the team win a Super Bowl.

Philadelphia will be Suh's fifth different team in his career. The former second overall pick played his first five NFL seasons with the Detroit Lions (2010-14) before joining the Miami Dolphins (2015-17), Los Angeles Rams (2018), and Bucs (2019-21).

Suh reacted to the move on Twitter.

The Nebraska product is the second recent high-profile addition made by the Eagles on defense. The team acquired pass-rusher Robert Quinn in a trade with the Chicago Bears on Oct. 26.

The 8-1 Eagles, who visit the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, suffered their first loss of the year against the Washington Commanders in Week 10. Philly allowed 152 yards on the ground in the game.
