The Chicago Bulls signed guard Talen Horton-Tucker to a partially guaranteed deal, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.

Horton-Tucker spent the past two seasons with the Utah Jazz, averaging 10.5 points, 3.6 assists, and 2.9 boards over 116 appearances, including 31 starts.

Horton-Tucker has shown promise on the defensive end, using his seven-foot wingspan to disrupt opposing players. His 1.8% steal percentage last season ranked in the 73rd percentile among combo guards, according to Cleaning the Glass.

Horton-Tucker has also shown to be a solid secondary playmaker, posting a 26.6% assist percentage last season, which was in the 81st percentile for his position, per Cleaning the Glass.

Chicago finished 22nd and 23rd in defensive efficiency and assists, respectively, during the previous campaign.

The Orlando Magic selected Horton-Tucker with the No. 46 overall pick in 2019 and subsequently dealt him to the Los Angeles Lakers on draft night.

Horton-Tucker spent his first three NBA campaigns with the Lakers. The Iowa State product was a member of the club's title-winning squad in 2020.
