No. 9 Ole Miss acknowledged it's been involved in conversations about faking injuries, but says the school has provided relevant medical information to the national coordinator for football officiating about the accusations.

"Feigned injuries has become a notable topic in college football, and we realize our program has been part of that discussion. We have been in communication with the national coordinator for football officiating and provided relevant medical information for his review to answer questions about recent injuries," Ole Miss said Friday in a statement obtained by The Athletic's David Ubben.

"Our head coach will communicate with our coaches and players to ensure we conduct ourselves properly and are compliant in this matter."

Ole Miss came under fire after South Carolina head coach Shane Beamer called the program out after Saturday's game, calling the number of Rebels players who got hurt at convenient times "a really bad look for college football."

"I hope they're OK," Beamer said, according to CBS Sports' Cameron Salerno. "It's fascinating to me how many injuries occur for them after the opposing offense makes a first down or has a big play. You go back and watch the Wake Forest game, it happens a lot. You watch the Kentucky game, it happens a lot."

Ole Miss heads into Saturday's game against No. 13 LSU with a 5-1 record.
