St. Louis Blues defenseman Philip Broberg will miss four-to-six weeks with a lower-body injury, head coach Drew Bannister said Monday, according to The Athletic's Jeremy Rutherford.

Broberg appeared to hurt his right leg in a collision with Mitch Marner during Saturday's win over the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The 23-year-old blue-liner was enjoying a breakout season with nine points (including seven assists) in 12 games. He was averaging more than 20 minutes of ice time in 2024-25 before being limited to 10:17 on Saturday due to the injury. Broberg had primarily been playing on St. Louis' second pairing.

The Blues nabbed him from the Edmonton Oilers in August by signing him and forward Dylan Holloway to offer sheets their former club opted not to match.

St. Louis already lost top-line center Robert Thomas for at least six weeks starting Oct. 23 due to a broken ankle.

Broberg spent parts of three campaigns with the Oilers to begin his career. Edmonton drafted him eighth overall in 2019.
