Detroit Pistons forward Isaiah Stewart was assessed a flagrant-2 foul and ejected after he shoved Indiana Pacers big man Thomas Bryant to the ground in the second quarter Wednesday night.

After review, the officials upgraded the foul to a flagrant 2, deeming it a non-basketball play. During the announcement, Stewart appeared to mimic a gun while pointing toward the Pacers bench.

Stewart also gave the Indiana crowd the middle finger as he was being escorted to the locker room after the ejection, according to Scott Agness of the Fieldhouse Files.

Stewart and Pacers wing James Johnson had already been awarded technical fouls for trash-talking one another during a timeout at the end of the first quarter.

Indiana went on to win the contest 133-119 thanks to a season-high 37-point performance from Pascal Siakam.

Stewart has been punished by the league for violent conduct in the past. He was handed a three-game suspension and arrested for assault after he allegedly punched forward Drew Eubanks before a game last season. Stewart was issued a citation by Phoenix police, but his charge for misdemeanor assault was later dismissed.

Stewart was also issued a one-game suspension in November of 2021 after an altercation with Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James.
