The Jacksonville Jaguars are hiring Anthony Campanile to be their defensive coordinator, the club announced Thursday.

Campanile was the Green Bay Packers' linebackers coach and running game coordinator in 2024. He started his NFL coaching career as the Miami Dolphins' linebackers coach from 2020-23.

The 42-year-old has also held various coaching roles at Michigan, Boston College, and Rutgers.

"Anthony Campanile represents exactly what we want to be as a defensive unit and football team," head coach Liam Coen said, according to Bleacher Report's James Palmer. "He brings an aggressive defensive mindset and a system that is adaptable to our players and allows them to play fast and physical."

The Jaguars' defense ranked 31st in yards allowed (389.9) and tied for 29th in points allowed (25.6) per game this season. The unit was also last in takeaways (nine) and 28th in sacks (34).

Jacksonville finished the regular season 4-13 and owns the fifth overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
