Philadelphia Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson won't be hanging up the cleats after the Super Bowl.

"I'm definitely not retiring after this game. I'm definitely playing next year," he told reporters, including PHLY's Zach Berman.

Johnson added that it'll be a year-to-year decision after the 2025 season, per ESPN's Tim McManus.

The 34-year-old signed a four-year, $80.75-million contract extension with the Eagles in March 2023, of which $30 million is guaranteed. The contract was designed with the expectation that Johnson will be released or retire in 2027, according to Over the Cap.

Johnson expressed his desire to retire as an Eagle after the extension came to fruition. The right tackle has spent his entire career in Philadelphia and was drafted fourth overall by the team in the 2013 NFL Draft.

The Eagles take on the Chiefs in a Super Bowl rematch Feb. 9.
