The Frozen Four final is set.

Boston University will take on Western Michigan in the national championship game Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET after defeating Penn State 3-1 in the second semifinal Thursday.

Jack Hughes and Cole Eiserman scored for the Terriers in the second period to build a 2-0 lead. Nicholas Degraves responded for Penn State early in the third period, but that's all the Nittany Lions could get. Jack Harvey added the empty-netter to secure the victory for Jay Pandolfo's squad.

Western Michigan punched its ticket earlier Thursday with a dramatic 3-2 victory in double overtime against defending champion Denver in the first semifinal.

Owen Michaels scored the game-winner with a bar-down snipe 26 seconds into the second extra frame for his second goal of the game. Pioneers goaltender Matt Davis kept the game close, as the Broncos dominated with a 47-22 shot advantage.

Boston University is seeking its first national championship since 2009, and sixth overall. Western Michigan is making its first title game appearance in program history.
