Report: Bueckers signs 3-year deal with Unrivaled
Paige Bueckers is signing a three-year deal with 3-on-3 women's basketball league Unrivaled, sources told ESPN's Kendra Andrews.
The UConn standout's first-year salary with Unrivaled would exceed the total amount of her four-year WNBA rookie contract, adds Andrews.
Bueckers previously signed an NIL deal with Unrivaled, which gave her equity in the league.
Unrivaled was founded two years ago by Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart. The league takes place during the WNBA offseason for 10 weeks and consists of six teams.
Several marquee WNBA players took part in Unrivaled's inaugural campaign, including Sabrina Ionescu, Kahleah Copper, and Alyssa Thomas.
Bueckers averaged 19.9 points, 4.9 assists, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.1 steals across 38 appearances last season. The All-American also won the Nancy Lieberman Award as the top point guard in women's college basketball and led the Huskies to their first national title in nine years.
Bueckers is widely projected to be taken No. 1 overall by the Dallas Wings in Monday's WNBA draft.
