Edmonton Oilers forward Zach Hyman sustained a dislocated wrist in Game 4 versus the Dallas Stars, he confirmed Wednesday, according to TSN's Mark Masters.

Hyman believes he'll be ready to return by training camp in September, but he can't say for certain, according to Masters.

Stars forward Mason Marchment caught Hyman with an awkward hit in the first period of Game 4, which caused the injury. Hyman immediately left the game.

Oilers captain Connor McDavid was the first teammate to comfort Hyman after his injury, he said, according to TSN's Chris Johnston.

"Honestly, that's when I broke down. It meant a lot," Hyman said.

Hyman underwent surgery to repair torn ligaments in his wrist, Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch announced the day after Game 4 on May 28.

The 32-year-old had a large brace on his right wrist when speaking to media Wednesday.

Hyman netted five goals and 11 points in 15 playoff games this year, and he leads the postseason with 111 hits. He tallied 27 goals and 44 points in 73 regular-season contests.

The Oilers won Game 5 in Dallas despite Hyman's absence. The team FaceTimed him after the victory that sent Edmonton back to the Stanley Cup Final, a move that brought Hyman to tears.

"It caught me off guard," Hyman said, according to Daily Faceoff's Jason Gregor. "I was watching the game on the couch with my wife and mother-in-law. It was very emotional. I was crying. It meant a lot."

The Stanley Cup Final begins Wednesday at 8 pm ET.
