Washington Commanders receiver Terry McLaurin has informed the team that he's frustrated with the lack of progress on a contract extension, sources told Fox Sports' Jordan Schultz.

McLaurin is entering the final year of his contract with the Commanders, but the two sides have had minimal talks regarding a new deal, Schultz adds.

It's unclear if he'll report for mandatory minicamp from June 10-12. McLaurin hasn't participated in Phase 3 of Commanders OTAs this week after initially attending the team's voluntary workouts.

The 29-year-old previously signed a three-year, $68-million extension in 2022. He ranks 16th among wide receivers with a $22.78-million average annual salary, according to Spotrac. His market value is projected to be $31.1 million per year after he posted his best NFL season in 2024.

McLaurin caught 82 passes for 1,096 yards and a career-high 13 touchdowns last year en route to earning a second-team All-Pro berth. The two-time Pro Bowler, who hasn't missed a game since 2020, has topped 1,000 yards in each of the past five seasons.

The 2019 third-round pick is a cornerstone of Washington's explosive offense, led by quarterback Jayden Daniels. The Commanders acquired multiple new starters this offseason, including wideout Deebo Samuel.
